Celebrating Judith Kyrinis at the 2025 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur
We are so proud of our very own WIG, Judith Kyrinis, who represented Canadian golf beautifully at the 63rd U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship. The esteemed event was held September 13 – 18 at The Omni Homestead Resort’s Cascades Course in Hot Springs, Virginia.
Leading the Way in Stroke Play
Judith’s championship began in style. After opening with a 75, she followed up with a brilliant 70, the only under-par round posted during stroke play! Her two-day total of 1-over 145 earned her Medalist honors, placing her at the very top of the leaderboard heading into match play. What an incredible achievement and testament to her consistency, focus, and years of experience at the highest level.
Fighting Spirit in Match Play
Coming in as No. 1 seed, Judith was tested right away in the Round of 64. She found herself 3 down through 10 holes against Amber Marsh Elliott, but in true Judith fashion, she dug deep, fought back, and won four of the next six holes to secure a thrilling 1-up victory on the final green.
In the Round of 32, she faced a tough competitor in Lisa McGill. Despite her strong form, Judith came up just short, losing 2 & 3. While her run ended earlier than we had all hoped, she showed incredible resilience and sportsmanship throughout.
A Champion On and Off the Course
Judith continues to inspire us with her determination, skill, and grace. From being crowned 2017 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Champion to earning Medalist honors again this year, she has built a legacy that shines.
We couldn’t be more honored to celebrate her journey and look forward to cheering her on in the many championships still to come. Congratulations, Judith!
